The Opportunity
As a Plumbing Estimator, you will play a key role in evaluating client needs and preparing accurate, competitive, and profitable bids for industrial and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to assess plumbing requirements
- Conduct site visits with project professionals
- Perform material quantity take-offs from drawings
- Request and analyze pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Coordinate bid documentation among tender participants
- Define project scope and develop strategies to meet client expectations
- Negotiate purchase pricing
- Collaborate with internal teams as required
This role involves frequent local travel to job sites; therefore, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
What We’re Looking For
Requirements
- DEC and/or DEP in Plumbing, Building Mechanics, Construction Estimation, or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in plumbing projects
- Ability to read and interpret plans from multiple disciplines
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
Assets
- Experience estimating large-scale piping projects
- Experience in general, civil, or structural project estimation
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry
- Experience preparing and submitting full tender packages
