Group Névé is currently looking to hire a SENIOR VENTILATION ESTIMATOR
Job Overview
Reporting to the estimation director / sales department, you will be responsible for estimating and preparing quotes for ventilation projects. This includes evaluating public tenders out for bid and quoting on applicable projects meeting Groupe Névé’s expertise. You will also be responsible for any ventilation quotes needed for our private customers and design-build projects. As the Senior Ventilation Estimator, you will be a point of reference and resource for our junior estimators to consult on projects they are working on. Finally, you must ensure that all quoting deadlines are respected and provide customers with regular updates on the progression of their quote.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who can clearly communicate their ideas. You should be a problem-solver with good analytical skills, be well-organized and work well in a team environment. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a ventilation estimator is required.
Requirements
You must be able to search all public sites for ventilation projects to quote, as well as ensure technical specifications conform with all project requirements. Complete all forms required for public quotes (BSDQ, SEAO, Merx etc.). Read mechanical drawings and do take offs for new projects. Visit sites to analyze and estimate the hours required to execute the project. Personally design small ventilation projects. Estimate all costs required to quote a project (ex: material, man-hours, equipment etc.). Be a top-notch negotiator. Possess a sound technical knowledge on how to install different ventilation equipment and materials. Communicate with the consulting engineers on specific projects. Participate in supplier trainings and outings.
